There will be several "waves" of heavy rainfall/possible severe weather which will end early Thursday Morning.

DETAILS:    The Clay Chamber is hosting the Annual Legislative Wrap-Up with members of the Clay County Delegation at Moosehaven. Senator Rob Bradley, Representative Travis Cummings, and Representative Bobby Payne will be discussing the 2017 Florida Legislative Session. Orange Park Medical Center is the presenting sponsor, AT&T is corporate sponsor, and executive sponsors include England, Thims and Miller, Baptist Clay Medical Campus, Waste Pro, Hanania Automotive Group, Advanced Disposal, and Teco Peoples Gas. Business sponsor are Community Hospice and Palliative Care and PACE Center for Girls, Clay.

Severe Weather Threat increased to ENHANCED

Tornado watch is in effect across NE FL right now. 

Increasing potential for heavy rainfall over portions of our area.

Continued threat for locally heavy rainfall. Latest forecasts suggest widespread 1-3 inches with local amounts of 4+ inches where more persistent thunderstorms occur through Wednesday. There could be some minor flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage areas.

 It is important to closely monitor the latest weather conditions and forecasts through today.

Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall Possible Through Wednesday Night


  • Slight Risk of Severe Storms for southeast Georgia today through Wednesday night
  • Marginal Risk of Severe Weather for northeast Florida this afternoon and tonight and Slight Risk Wednesday and Wednesday Night
  • Waves of showers/storms will lead to additional areal average rainfall totals of 2-4 inches with locally much higher amounts, and a Flood Watch may be required for portions of the region for Wednesday and Wednesday night
