News from around the Clay County business community and Chamber of Commerce.

It is with mixed emotions that I announce Doug Conkey has accepted a position with another organization and has resigned his position as President. Tresa Calfee, who has worked under Doug’s leadership as Vice President of Operations, has been named Interim President, effective immediately.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are grateful to Doug for his leadership and accomplishments over the past four years. Doug has served us well as the face of the Chamber, helping us reach new heights from which we can grow and thrive. Please join me as we wish Doug well in his new endeavor and know he will remain an integral part of the Clay County community as he leaves the Chamber.
We are pleased that Tresa has accepted the opportunity to lead the Chamber in the interim, as she has many years serving in high profile roles within chamber organizations. Prior to joining the Clay Chamber in 2014, Tresa was the Director of Member Benefits at the JAX Chamber, and is credited with starting various councils and creating development strategies the JAX Chamber continues to utilize today. Since joining the Clay Chamber, Tresa, along with her staff, has helped grow the Chamber by more than 200 members.
Recognizing our membership has a collective interest in the Chamber leadership and direction, we will keep you updated once we begin our formal search process for the role of a permanent President.
In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Tresa, myself or any of our board members with questions you may have. We are here to serve you and help make the Clay community the very best place to do business.
